The National Monuments Service's description
Hut (KE089-049005-): The N side of this poorly preserved subcircular structure is built into the W end of the scarp that divides the enclosure. It measures 4.9m N-S x 6m E-W internally and, where visible, the basal course of its internal wall-face consists of large upright slabs, overlain by drystone masonry. The wall at S is 1.8m thick and a .5m wide entrance, defined by two upright slabs set on end, occurs at NE.
The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J. Sheehan (compilers), 'The Iveragh peninsula: an archaeological survey of South Kerry'. Cork University Press (1996), no. 933. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
