Promontory fort described in 2003 as follows; ‘A flat L-shaped headland, facing southwest into the Atlantic measuring 80m wide at the broadest point and totalling 110m long shows evidence of having been enclosed along the landward side of a series of three low earthen banks, one 2.3m wide and with a shallow external fosse. A second bank, now incorporated into a field boundary runs 10m inland from edge to edge, with faint traces of a rick cut fosse visible in the western cliff. A faint shallow dip and low rise 10m north of the main feature may be the remains of a third. Several cattle gaps through the enclosing elements are all that can be seen of an entrance feature. A vague circular depression in the interior close to the southern cliff seen from the air may be the remains of a hut but could not be found on the ground. The surrounding cliffs are sheer and slopping grassy edge suggests the headland was once larger' (Casey 2003, 20, no. B).
