The National Monuments Service's description
There is no surface trace of the circular enclosure marked at this location on the OS maps. It was located on a S facing slope overlooking the Portmagee Channel. A souterrain (KE087-017001-) with a number of chambers is reputed to have been located within the enclosure (local information).
The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J. Sheehan (compilers), 'The Iveragh peninsula: an archaeological survey of South Kerry'. Cork University Press (1996), no. 654. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
