The National Monuments Service's description

In rough hill pasture, on a SE-facing slope, overlooking the Thureehouma stream. Traces of stone field walls (T 0.6m; H 0.4m), which protrude above the surface of the bog, occur intermittently in a roughly rectangular area (c. 100m E-W; c. 50m N-S). Four hut sites (KE085-041002-, KE085-041005-, KE085-041006-, KE085-041008-) are within the network of field walls. A further stretch of relict field boundary (KE085-041009-) is in the immediate vicinity to the N.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
