The National Monuments Service's description
In rough pasture, in a hollow, on a gentle W-facing slope. A triangular-shaped enclosure defined by a rock scarp (L 17.7m) at S at right angles to a drystone wall (L 10.6m; T 0.5m; H 1.2m) forming the W side. A slightly curving NE wall (T 0.5m; H 1.2m) completes the enclosure from the N end of the W wall to the rock scarp at S. An entrance (Wth 0.8m), defined by a large boulder on the S side, occurs at the S end of the NE wall. A small W-flowing stream skirts the N wall.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
