The National Monuments Service's description

In rough peaty pasture, on the E-facing slope of Mangerton Mountain. A circular area (diam. 5.3m) defined by a wall of eleven contiguous stones (c. H 0.4m; 1.1m x 0.3m) N-WNW, which protrude above the surface of the bog. There is a cairn (KE084-055003-) c. 70m to the SW and a pre-bog field boundary (KE084-055001-) c. 60m to the ESE.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
