The National Monuments Service's description
In rough hill pasture, on a small terrace, on the SW-facing slope of Mangerton Mountain. The remains of a rectangular hut site (4.7m N-S; 2.6m E-W) defined by a collapsed drystone wall (T 0.6m; H 0.3m) which is partly grass covered. A D-shaped arrangement of stones covering an area (1.6m x 1.3m) near the inner face of the E wall, may be a more recent addition. There is a circular enclosure (KE084-045001-) c. 35m to the SE and another hut site (KE084-045003-) c. 20m to the NE.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
