The National Monuments Service's description

In rough hill pasture, on the S-facing slope of Mangerton Mountain. The remains of a circular hut site (diam. c. 5m) defined by a collapsed drystone wall (T 0.5m; H 0.3-0.4m) which protrudes above the surface of the bog. The wall is poorly preserved along the E arc, existing only as a scatter of stones. There is an entrance (Wth 1m) at W. Another hut site (KE084-023014-) abuts the S arc.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
