The National Monuments Service's description

In rough hill pasture, on the S-facing slope of Coombane Hill and within a field system (KE084-022----). The remains of a circular hut site (diam. 3m) defined by a collapsed drystone wall (T 0.8m; H 0.6m) which is best defined E-W. The N portion of the interior is cut into the upslope to compensate for the hillslope. There is a substantial scatter of stones on the downslope. A relict wall (on a NE-SW axis) of the field system adjoins the hut site at SE. Another hut site (KE084-022003-) is 3m to the S.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
