The National Monuments Service's description
In rough hill pasture, on a W-facing slope to the S of Moll's Gap and within a network of relict field boundaries (KE083-017002-). The remains of a D-shaped hut site (3.1m E-W) defined by a drystone wall (T 0.7m; H 0.35m) with a straight W side (L 3.6m). The drystone wall protrudes above the surface of the bog and is best preserved along the linear W side. There is some rubble within the interior and along the perimeter. Another hut site (KE083-017----) is c. 3m to the SE.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
