This pre-bog complex is located in the Bridia Valley, on the N slopes of Knockaunanattin, NW of Lough Namweela. It occupies an area measuring c. 600m x c. 540m, and comprises up to twenty stretches of linear walls, varying in length from 8m to 30m. Some occur as cross-walls which intersect with longer N-S stretches. The walls are on average .65m wide and .5m high above the present level of the bog. They occur in peat which has a maximum depth of 1.5m.
Eight enclosures are widely scattered within this area: (KE082-058----) A collapsed arc of stone, measuring .25m high x .55m wide, with an internal diamter of 3m x 2.9m; (KE082-059----) A circular outline of boulders, which measures 1.5m x 1.2m internally; (KE082-060----) A ruined enclosure with a .8m wide entrance gap at E. Its .3m high wall averages 1.2m wide and encloses an area 5.2m x 3.1m; (KE082-061----) A turf-covered bank of stone enclosing a subcircular area measuring 5.1m internally; (KE082-062----) Adjacent to 4 is a turf-covered bank of stone with a .6m wide gap at E. The enclosed area measures 4.7m x 4.4m internally; (KE082-063----) A small, roughly built, circular enclosure. It measures 2.9m x 2.8m internally and features a possible entrance gap at W, .7m wide; (KE082-064----) The circular foundations of a small enclosure measuring 1.35m x 1.2m internally. The stone footings average .5m wide; (KE082-062----) A large subcircular enclosure measuring 10.2m in internal diameter. The collapsed walling averages .4m high and .7m wide.
