The National Monuments Service's description

An exposed section of otherwise peat-covered rock outcrop, sloping upwards to W, features a cup-and-ring and three cup-and-two rings. Two of the latter are conjoined (Finlay 1973, 88-9).

The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J. Sheehan (compilers), 'The Iveragh peninsula: an archaeological survey of South Kerry'. Cork University Press (1996), no. 310. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.

In rough pasture, on an E-facing slope (183m OD), overlooking the Kealduff River valley to ENE. Low rise of rock outcrop, c. 2m to S of drystone wall field boundary (as per Finlay 1973). Motifs not visible as their precise location upon this outcrop is unknown as it is completely obscured by sod, heavy mosses and grasses. According to O’Sullivan & Sheehan (1996), ‘an exposed section of otherwise peat-covered rock outcrop, sloping upwards to W, features a cup-and-ring and three cup-and-two rings. Two of the latter are conjoined (Finlay 1973, 88-9).’
