The National Monuments Service's description

In rough hill grazing on bog on a W-facing slope overlooking the valley of the Inny River. A circular hut site (7.6m N-S; 7.5m E-W) defined by the remains of a stone wall (T 1m; H 0.5m), protruding above the surface of bog and displaying traces of an inner and outer row of contiguous slabs with an infill of rubble. A turf stand was built on part of the hut site, causing some damage to its walls. Rushes obscure the rubble which is scattered in the interior. Field boundaries (KE081-050----) are c. 35m to the NE.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
