The National Monuments Service's description

In the 1930s Capt. D. B. O'Connell recorded a cairn in this townland (KAS). It has not been precisely located and local enquiries failed to reveal its location. It may be in that part of the townland that is on OS 6-inch map 89.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
