The National Monuments Service's description

An opening to a souterrain (KE080-060001-), .9m x .4m, is located in the W sector of the rath's interior. The passage is filled with debris and is no longer accessible.

The OSNB refer to a Lismore (Lios Mór) and a Lisbeg (Lios Beag) in this townland (Drummod, 28-9). It seems probable that this and the following site (KE080-061----) are the monuments to which they refer.

The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J. Sheehan (compilers), 'The Iveragh peninsula: an archaeological survey of South Kerry'. Cork University Press (1996), no. 521. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
