National Monument No. 59. Water Cistern (KE079-032008-):'This cistern, 1m deep and 1m square at the top, was rock-cut on the S side of the round house prior to the building of the annulus. Over one hundred quartz pebbles and some hide fragments were recovered from its fill.

The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J. Sheehan (compilers), 'The Iveragh peninsula: an archaeological survey of South Kerry'. Cork University Press (1996), no. 927. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
