The National Monuments Service's description

Standing in the SE quadrant of is a tall slate pillar, 1.92m high and .48m x .13m at base; NNW-SSE. Its NW edge bears an ogham inscription and a cross occurs on both faces. Macalister (1945, 224) read the inscription as:
LOGITTI MAQI ERPENN
The first four letters and the initial stroke of the first T are now buried, but the remaining characters are well-preserved. The P is represented by the I-forfid cut on the face of the same stone. The final strokes of the second N appear to have been abbreviated by the addition of a cross to the WSW face, which is of Latin type with large, bulbous terminals. On the other face of the stone is a roughly equal-armed cross with expanded terminals.

The above description is derived from O'Sullivan, A. and Sheehan, J. (compilers) 'The Iveragh peninsula: an archaeological survey of South Kerry'. Cork University press. (1996), no. 940. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
