The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on the lower SE slopes of Feaghmaan mountain, Valencia Island, this standing stone is incorporated into the enclosing hedge of a vegetable garden. It stands 1.85m high, inclines to NW, and is approximately rectangular in elevation and basal plan. It measures .9m x .5m at base; ENE-WSW. Both faces of the stone are uneven, and on the NW face is a possible cupmark, .05m in diameter and .03m deep, adjacent to which is a natural sinuous groove
The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J. Sheehan (compilers), 'The Iveragh peninsula: an archaeological survey of South Kerry'. Cork University Press (1996), no. 180. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
