In the SW quadrant of a cashel (KE075-005----) and abutting the internal face of a possible hut site (KE075-005001-) at NE. An oval depression (2.45m N-S; 2.2m E-W; D 0.6m) defined by gently sloping sides and filled with small stones. In the 1930s Capt. D. B. O'Connell recorded that this souterrain had two chambers, one of which his guide had been in and which, he told O'Connell, had led to the S (SMR file). O'Connell also recorded a 'circular mound about 9ft [2.74m] in diameter' to the W of the souterrain entrance on top of which was a 'large flag-stone' about '6 inches [15cm] below the present surface' (SMR file).
