The National Monuments Service's description
In rough hill pasture, on a SE-facing rocky slope overlooking Lough Reagh. The remains of an oval hut site (3.7m N-S; 2.2m E-W) defined by a collapsed drystone wall (T 0.65m; H 0.6m). The entrance (Wth 0.55m) is at E. The interior is cut (D 0.3m) into the upslope at N and raised (H 0.25m) at SE to compensate for the hillslope. Rubble is scattered in the interior and downslope to the SE. There is a standing stone (KE073-053001-) c. 2m to the NE and another hut site (KE073-053003-) lies c. 36m to the WNW.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
