The National Monuments Service's description

Not marked on the OS maps, this small enclosure and hut are located on open mountain terrain on the SE slopes of Curraghmore. Boulders and large slabs set on edge form the base of the drystone wall which encloses an oval-shaped area, 12.3m 9.8m. The wall averages 1m high and 1m wide. The remains of a circular hut (KE073-029002-) are centrally located in the interior of the enclosure. It measures 2.5m in internal diameter and its wall survives .3m high and is .6m wide.

The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J. Sheehan (compilers), 'The Iveragh peninsula: an archaeological survey of South Kerry'. Cork University Press (1996), no. 708. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
