The National Monuments Service's description

This monument was initially identified as rock art by Aoibheann Lambe in 2016. In rough pasture field, scattered with rock outcrop and boulders, on a NW-facing slope (167m OD); Thicket of furze bushes abutting to E. Mountains NE->E->S and overlooking Behy River valley to N. A slightly rough and fractured, sandstone rock (dims. 3.70m NW-SE; 3.70m NE-SW; max. H 1.20m), which has a roughly square decorated surface (dims. 0.40m NE-SW; 0.30m NW-SE) with a SE-facing aspect. A clearly visible, oval cupmark (dims. 8cm NW-SE; 7cm NE-SW; D 8mm) is off-centre to W. A linear groove (L 26cm E-W; Wth 1.5cm) has a short return (L 13cm NW-SE) at W-end, is c. 4cm to NE of cupmark.
