The National Monuments Service's description

This monument was initially identified as rock art by Aoibheann Lambe in 2014.  In mountain heath, on a gentle NE-facing slope (181m OD) scattered with abundant boulders and rock outcrop, overlooking Behy River valley to NE and overlooked by mountains SE->W->NE. Drystone field boundary (long-axis NNW-SSE) is c. 2m to E and edge of gorge (D 8-10m) is c. 6m to N. A very rough and fractured, rock outcrop (dims. 1.35m N-S; 0.80m E-W; max. H 0.50m at E), having a roughly triangular-shaped decorated surface (dims. 0.40m N-S; 0.40m E-W) with a gentle W-facing tilt. The rock art consists of a two-cup-and-two ring motif (dims. 0.36m N-S; 0.4m E-W) off-centre to S. It consists of a large cupmark (diam. 6cm; D 16mm) and small cupmark (diam. 3.5cm; D 4mm) which are enclosed by two complete rings (Wth 1-2cm; D 4-5mm) which are sub-oval in plan and comprised of pickmarks. Rock art is very weathered and the rough decorated surface bears natural pock-like depressions and parallel fractures and fissures (long-axis N-S).
