The National Monuments Service's description
Within a field system (KE070-119----). The remains of a square hut site (4m x 4m) defined by drystone walls (T 0.65m; H 0.94m). The hut site comprises three sections. The main compartment (4m x 3m) consists of loosely packed rubble which is built on top of outcropping rock along the E wall. This masonry in this room is largely collapsed. The present entrance is through a gap in the E wall. The original entrance (Wth 1m) in the W side of the N wall is now blocked up. The W wall extends (L 0.7m) beyond the NW corner. This portion of wall, coupled with the jamb of a doorway (Wth 0.75m) in the W end of the N wall, indicates the location of a porch. A doorway (Wth 0.4m; H 0.94m) in the W wall of the main compartment leads to a chamber (2m x 1m) at W. The W portion of the hut site has undergone alterations in the past. (Harte 2002, 149, no. D603)
