The National Monuments Service's description
Lecky recorded a monument, similar to the stone row at Eightercua (KE098-047002-), on the S slopes of Knocknadobar mountain (1914, 52-3). He described it as consisting of five sanding stones 'much broken and defaced'. To the S of the stones was a large oval platform, 'nearly levelled into the field'. This site cannot now be identified.
The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J. Sheehan (compilers), 'The Iveragh peninsula: an archaeological survey of South Kerry'. Cork University Press (1996), no. 115. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
