The National Monuments Service's description

This small cairn is located on the flat W summit of Knocknadobar mountain, close to its S edge, from where there is an extensive view over the Ferta river valley. It measures 6.1m N-S x 6.25m E-W, and stands 1m above surrounding ground level. Some cairn collapse occurs at S and NE. The monument is mainly composed of small irregular stones.

The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J. Sheehan (compilers), 'The Iveragh peninsula: an archaeological survey of South Kerry'. Cork University Press (1996), no. 386. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
