The National Monuments Service's description
In rough grazing on bog, on a gentle W-facing slope to the E of the cliff-tops on the E side of Cooncrome Harbour. The remains of a mainly curvilinear stone wall (T 0.6m; H 0.3m) protrude intermittently above the surface of the bog and extend (L c. 100m) in a W direction almost as far as the cliffs. Many stones are leaning and the slab-type stones are set at right angles to the line of the wall. (O'Sullivan and Sheehan 1996, 410, no. 1340)
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
