The National Monuments Service's description
In level pasture, 1km S of Rathmore. A raised circular area (96m N-S; 95.5m E-W) enclosed by an earthen bank and by an internal and external fosse. The bank (Wth 6.1m; int. H 1.65m; ext. H 2.8m) is obscured by thick overgrowth and trees, and has internal stone facing NW-NNE, NE-SSE and S-WNW. The entrance break (Wth 3.3m) is SSE-S with stone facing on its E side; there is also a break WNW-NW with pillars and a gate and another break NNE-NE (Wth 3.8m). The internal fosse (Wth 3.4m; D 0.4m) is evident SW-NNE, with faint intermittent traces NNE-SW. An external overgrown fosse (Wth 3m; D 1.1m) is evident S-W with further faint traces of it W-NNE. There is a large flat stone in the external fosse at NNE. Field boundaries abut the enclosure at N, SSE, SSW and W. Within the enclosure are a souterrain (KE068-006002-), a bullaun stone (KE068-006003-), a possible children's burial ground (KE068-006004-), and two possible enclosures (KE068-006005-, KE068-006006-).
