The National Monuments Service's description

In pasture, on a S-facing slope with views to Mangerton Mountain and Macgillycuddy's Reeks. A raised oval area (32m E-W; c. 27m N-S) is enclosed by an overgrown inner earthen bank (Wth 4.5m; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 1.5m) SE-SSW and by traces of an overgrown inner bank SW-NW. Intermittent traces of an intervening fosse (Wth 2.1m) is evident SE-NW and an outer bank (Wth 2.65m; int. H 0.9m; ext. H 2.1m) surviving SE-NW is obscured by overgrowth. The enclosing elements are truncated along the N arc by an overgrown E-W field boundary. A NNW-SSE overgrown field boundary truncates the enclosing elements and a small portion of the interior NNE-SE. There is a causewayed entrance (Wth 3.3m) at SE. There is a break in the bank at WNW and a break in the field boundary leading to the interior at N. The surface of the interior is uneven and partially obscured by gorse and briars. A hut site (KE067-009002-) and souterrain (KE067-009001-) are in the interior off centre to the SW.
