The National Monuments Service's description

In pasture, on the edge of a NE-SW terrace on a NW-facing slope, with commanding views N to the Slieve Mish Mountains. An arc (C 27.5m) of an earth and stone bank (Wth 2.7m; int. H 0.7m; ext. H 1.7m) SW-NE is partially obscured by bushes and has intermittent traces of stone facing along its internal face. The sloping external face of the bank is being eroded, with earth and loose stones spilling downslope. There is a cattle break (Wth c. 1m) at W. The level interior, which is under pasture, is raised (H 1m) at NW to compensate for the natural slope. This rath is indicated as a semicircular enclosure abutting the townland boundary at S on the 1846 OS 6-inch map. On the 1893-4 OS 6-inch map, a raised area is defined by an arc of hachures SW-E.
