The National Monuments Service's description

In pasture, to the S of a lane. This standing stone was removed by the landowner during drainage works. A slight depression marks its original location. It was recorded in the 1940s as 'a fine gallan on the lands of Mr. Cronin. It is about 6 ft [1.82m] tall by 21/2 ft [0.76m] wide, and of brown sandstone' (ITA).
