The National Monuments Service's description

On level ground, in poorly drained rough pasture. This is one of three mounds (see KE066-036001-, KE066-036003-) indicated on the 1939 OS 6-inch map and named 'Fulachta Fian'. When inspected in 1999 the area was being developed as a holiday-home complex and there were no visible remains of this fulacht fia. Monitoring of ground disturbance work associated with the development identified an L-shaped deposit of burnt material (4.5m N-S; 3.6m E-W; max. D 0.2m) which was exposed in section during the digging of a drain in 2000-2001 (Dennehy 2003d, 158-9, Site 3). Excavation work was confined to the recording of the exposed section (ibid.). A fulacht fia (KE066-036003-) lies c. 55m to the SE and three others (KE066-036001-, KE066-036004-, KE066-036005-) lie c. 50m, c. 100m and 150m to the NW, respectively.
