The National Monuments Service's description

A road bridge (Wth 7.8m) spanning the River Laune on a N-S axis. A multiperiod bridge of random rubble sandstone. The arches have shaped voussoirs and there are slight variations in the heights and spans. There are four segmental arches (span c. 6m) on the S side with low pointed cutwaters on the upstream side of the piers. A narrow arch at N links to five inserted central arches (span c. 5m) with cut-stone rounded cutwaters on the upstream side of the piers; there are three sloping butresses on the downstream side. There are two segmental arches at the N end with a low pointed cutwater on the upstream side of the pier. The northernmost arch has rockface rusticated voussoirs. There is an overflow arch on the S bank. The much rebuilt parapet wall has vertical stone coping in places. There are a number of iron braces through the bridge at the N end. According to local information, stone used for the building of this bridge was taken from Pallis Castle (KE065-019----).
