The National Monuments Service's description
Not marked on the OS maps, this possible standing stone was located a short distance W of the avenue to Cullenagh House. The land it stood on was reclaimed in the 1950s, and no visible trace of the monument survives. It was a tall slab which stood over six feet (1.8m) high (local information).
The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J. Sheehan (compilers), 'The Iveragh peninsula: an archaeological survey of South Kerry'. Cork University Press (1996), no. 233. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
