The National Monuments Service's description
A circular enclosure is marked on the first edition of the OS map 30m SW of Killoughane Church (KE065-058001-). A faint cropmark, probably representing an infilled fosse, is all that survives to denote the site. It indicates an overall diameter of about 32m. The site was located in pilture on a low rise just E of the Gaddagh river.
The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J. Sheehan (compilers), 'The Iveragh peninsula: an archaeological survey of South Kerry'. Cork University Press (1996), no. 824. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
