The National Monuments Service's description
Internal diam. c. 35m NW-SE
Lisfadda/Lios Fada: This rath is situated in pastureland that slopes gently W to the Glasheencockusuck stream, N of Macgillycuddy's Reeks. The present remains are disturbed and partly obscured by vegetation. The enclosing element is levelled E of a field boundary which bisects the site from NW to SE. The surviving bank averages an external height of 2m, and is 3.3m in basal width. It falls 1.4m to an overgrown and apparently featureless interior.
The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J. Sheehan (compilers), 'The Iveragh peninsula: an archaeological survey of South Kerry'. Cork University Press (1996), no. 545. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
