The National Monuments Service's description
In level pasture, on the edge of a S-facing slope with impressive views S to Macgillycuddy's Reeks. A circular area (35m E-W) defined by a partially eroded earthen bank (Wth 8.5m; int. H 0.5m; ext. H 0.8m) ENE-WNW and by a low rise WNW-NW. The bank is obscured by overgrowth along the S arc. An overgrown E-W earthen field boundary crosses the interior to the N of the centre. This may be the 'circular fort', recorded in the 1940s on Mr Sugrue's lands at Lahard and which had 'one bank, and [was] 100ft [30.48m] in diameter' (ITA).
