Ogham stone

The National Monuments Service's description

National Monument No. 329. One of 7, or possibly 8, ogham stones at Kilcoolaght Burial Ground/Cill Chuallachta (KE065-003001-), inside Iron railings erected in the 1940s. Brash also recorded a tradition that a church (KE065-003003-) formerly stood on a rectangular area of untilled ground ‘a few yards from the cilleen'. No trace of this church is now apparent.'
Described by Macalister as 'the extreme top of a stone' (1945, 203, no. 208), this can probably be identified with an inscribed and partly buried fragment in the SE quadrant of the modern enclosure (stone or inscription could not be identified on site in 2015). It measures .3m x .12m and bears at least four characters. Macalister read it as: . . . UMALL.. (O'Sullivan and Sheehan 1996, no. 950)
