The National Monuments Service's description

On a level terrace midway between loughs Caragh and Cappanalea, which it overlooks. The foundations of a subcircular and a rectangular hut, both of which may be relatively recent in date. Incorporated in the structures are some very large facing stones.

The subcircular hut KE064-019---- measures 3m internally and the second hut KE064-019001-measures 3.7m x 2.4m. Remnants of what may be an enclosing wall can be identified NW of the huts. This may be the site referred to as 'Liosachán' by Ó Cíobháin (1978, 33).

The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J. Sheehan (compilers), 'The Iveragh peninsula: an archaeological survey of South Kerry'. Cork University Press (1996), no. 1358. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
