The National Monuments Service's description
On E cliff-face of Foileye Head, overlooking Dingle Bay. Only the N and E.walls survive. The E wall is slightly curved; the NE angle is corbelled. Length of N wall: 3.75m; length of E wall: 12.5m. Field walls abut the hut.
The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J. Sheehan (compilers), 'The Iveragh peninsula: an archaeological survey of South Kerry'. Cork University Press (1996), no. 1368. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
