The National Monuments Service's description

In the 1940s a fulacht fia measuring '10 feet [3.04m] by 7 [2.13m] and 5ft [1.52m] high' was recorded in Pat Doherty's land (Schools Manuscript, Co. Kerry). Interestingly, the same account states that the origin of the townland name is 'Gleann Ghrissín' i.e. 'glen of the boiled meat'. This fulacht fia has not been precisely located.
