The National Monuments Service's description

In rough rush-covered pasture, on a S-facing slope with views S over Sliabh Luachra. A roughly horseshoe-shaped mound (14m N-S; 10m E-W; H 1.6m) of burnt material with an opening (Wth 4.8m) facing E. It is highest at the S and is largely obscured by an overgrowth of bushes and briars, especially NE-SE. Burnt material is exposed intermittently from NW to N and at SW.
