The National Monuments Service's description
‘A long flag with legible Ogham characters on the centre of the stone' was reported to Windele as being located close to Killorglin castle (KE056-025----) during the early 1840s (RIA MS 12 C 11). Subsequent attempts to find this possible ogham stone proved unsuccessful.
The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J. Sheehan (compilers), 'The Iveragh peninsula: an archaeological survey of South Kerry'. Cork University Press (1996), no. 911. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
