The National Monuments Service's description
Lissaunaporty/Liosán an Phortaig: Marked as an oval and circular enclosure on the first and second editions of the OS maps, respectively, this site is levelled. However, faint traces of the bank survive and indicate that the site had an internal diameter of c. 30m.
The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J. Sheehan (compilers), 'The Iveragh peninsula: an archaeological survey of South Kerry'. Cork University Press (1996), no. 630. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
