The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on the summit of the low rise bordering Dingle Bay between the entrances to Dingle Harbour and Trabeg, this standing stone is 1.4m high and measures a maximum of 1.8m x .55m at base, the sides rising straight to a flat top; E-W. It inclines slightly to NNW.

The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 85. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
