The National Monuments Service's description

Local information indicated the presence of a souterrain near the W extremity of Beenbane townland, c. 200-300m W of the previous example. The precise location was not established and it remains a possibility that this is a confused reference to the latter site or to the 2nd souterrain mentioned in that report.

The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 744. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
