The National Monuments Service's description
Ragh wood is situated on a gentle N facing slope overlooking Dingle Harbour. An Seabhac (1939, 39) recorded a ráth or lios at its SW corner, but the vegetation here is impenetrable and the present condition of the site could not be determined. A sub-circular curvature in the boundary wall probably marks its location, but the enclosing wall here does not differ from that surrounding the remainder of the wood. An Seabhac also referred to the site as a calluragh burial ground.
