The National Monuments Service's description
A long stone cist with a single inhumation burial was uncovered during ploughing in 1970. It was about 6.5 feet long x 2 feet wide (2m x .6m) and lay about 1.5 feet (.45m) below the surface (NMI; the Kerryman 2nd May 1970).
The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 213. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
