The National Monuments Service's description

On the OS maps this site is shown as a very roughly semi-circular curve in a field wall, and it is possible that a ringfort formerly occupied the site. Though part of the field wall has now been removed the outline is still discernible, indicating a diameter of c. 30m.

The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 735. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
