Internal diam. 22m E-W, 20m N-S
This slightly oval univallate rath lies on the E side of the Trabeg inlet on a slight N facing slope. The E section of the earthen enclosing bank has been partly destroyed. The W section, now incorporated into and confused by the field boundary system, is so densely overgrown that accurate measurement was not possible but it is at least 3m high externally.
The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 484. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
